Today is the third series in our analysis of legal marketing opportunities for different cities in the US, and we’re going to be looking at Portland, OR in this edition. Portland has about 600,000 residents — just a bit less than Seattle — but one difference is that Portland is the largest city in Multnomah County (which has about 759,000 residents), and King County has 2 million people. Because of this, Portland is a bit easier to plan a marketing strategy, as most people looking for an attorney are going to expect to look in Portland rather than a dozen surrounding cities. This allows us to focus on keywords and phrases rather than specific city names.
